Plan a trip to Upstate New York
There is never a shortage of character in the All American small towns scattered around the 11 Finger Lakes of Upstate New York.
Well known for small vineyard wineries, craft breweries and ciders, and some of the best farmland in the country, the area is a foodies delight. Farm-to-table eating is a way of life. Niagra Falls is an easy less than 2 hour, day trip.
When to visit upstate New York
Summer time fun brings activity to the golf greens, lakes, canals, rolling hills, Main St. parades, small town festivals, historical sites and museums. Fall foliage is of course a spectacular vision. Bristol Mountain provides for winter lovers a place to hit the slopes. Summer is definitely the high season for the area, but there is much to see and do in the fall foliage season and spring sugar maple season. Winter holds many opportunities for outdoor fun or a quieter time to enjoy the wide variety of the historical and arts available in the area, including the Smith Opera House, Seneca Art & Culture Center, Belhurst Castle or more culinary creations.
